A pretty antique Edwardian Suffragette brooch modelled in 15ct gold and decorated with two 0.50ct amethysts and a 0.80ct peridot in the centre bordered by gleaming, white pearls.
The combination of gemstone colours was often used to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement which took place in the early 20th Century and symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
It’s in excellent condition and displays a colourful collection of gemstones.
