A beautiful Antique Edwardian ring made in London by James William Benson in the early 20th Century to show support for the women’s Suffragette movement.
Its claw set with a line of violet Amethysts, sparkling Old Mine cut Diamonds and a central green Peridot which together make up the Suffragette colours and symbolise; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The ring is all 18ct Gold and complete with London hallmarks and the maker’s initials within the shank.
