A beautiful antique paste brooch dating to the late Georgian period. This brooch is a lovely example of the high regard jewellers had for paste stones at the time using gold to frame the central purple glass stone and also the base of the silver framed black dot paste.
The brooch features a secure hook clasp and has a security chain loop which can be swapped out for a bale to be worn as a pendant if desired.
There is some light surface wear to the purple stone which has been pictured. The brooch is in good antique condition overall.
