The Tahitian pearl is atop a sterling silver up-down swoop pendant, with cubic zirconia  encompassing the pearl. This pendant comes with an 18" link chain necklace, that is made out of sterling silver as well.

Tahitian pearls come from the islands of French Polynesia, of which Tahiti is the largest. These pearls were once very rare, which gave them the name “Queen of Pearls,” at one point in time. They may not be as rare now, but the variety of shapes, color and sizes, can add to their value, just like South Seas. As for their color, Tahitian pearls can appear as though they are black, however, it is more accurate to say they have an array of rainbow overtone colors.
